The Rose Stone Inn Bed and Breakfast is an opportunity to experience a unique and refreshing respite and to create a special memory.  We respect the seclusion and privacy that you desire and want you to have a memorable, romantic stay.  Our guests often remark that the highlight of their stay is the gourmet, beautifully presented breakfast.

Dell Rapids is located 15 minutes from the intersection of Interstate 90 and 29 just outside Sioux Falls , South Dakota's largest city.

The Rose Stone Inn was built in 1908 for traveling salesmen arriving on the railroad. It is constructed of quartzite, called "rose stone" by local Indians, and is still quarried on the edge of town. The hotel is a large two-story building with a large covered porch on which to sit and relax. The interior was renovated and redecorated starting in 1991.

The Rose Stone Inn is part of the historic community of Dell Rapids, South Dakota. The spirit of small town America comes alive along the Big Sioux River, an ancient waterway used by Native Americans and fur traders for hundreds of years. The river flows through rich farmland and cuts a deep gorge into Sioux Quartzite bedrock giving the community the Rapids, and the Dells of the Sioux. The quartzite stone mined from the original quarry over 100 years ago is seen in the buildings on Historic Main Street.
